Hard Drive and Media Destruction Services
Hard drive and media destruction is the 100% secure way to permanently destroy data.
Confidential information on hard drives has become a target for information and identity theft. When organizations upgrade their computers, they often remove the hard drives, use software to erase the data and send them to computer recyclers. While software programs can erase data, some just delete the directories on the drive. Sensitive data remains on the drives and can still be accessed and restored, leaving organizations vulnerable to security breaches if information ends up in the wrong hands.
World Data Products, Inc. (WDPI) has partnered with the leading data destruction company to provide our customers with the best option for secure disposal of their sensitive company and customer data contained on hard drives and other media. Protect your business, your customers and your reputation by ensuring your data is destroyed in compliance with federal, state and local privacy laws.
WDPI’s data destruction process uses state-of-the-art shredding machines specifically designed to shred your hard drives and other media containing sensitive data. The drives are shredded into small pieces, rendering the information contained on them irretrievable. We will schedule a truck for “on-site” destruction at your location, and you can even watch the shredding of your drives (in fact, we encourage you to watch). Depending on your needs, we can also pick up your drives and transport them to our facility for destruction. A Certificate of Destruction will be issued to verify the process has been completed securely from beginning to end.
WDPI will provide you with dedicated consoles, clearly labelled for media destruction. Your drives will be picked up from your locked consoles and securely transported to a waiting truck for on-site shredding, where you can watch the destruction of your drives. Depending upon your requirements, drives can be delivered to a secure facility for shredding.
State-of-the-art shredding machines are used to pulverize the drives into minute particles.
The shredded drives are then recycled and disposed of in accordance with EPA standards, as well as state and local laws.
A Certificate of Destruction is issued to verify drives have been destructed, using a secure process from beginning to end.
